Every day, the same ritual: students at Joséphine-Baker High School pass through the gates for a new day of learning… learning academic lessons, but above all, learning about life. Here, we laugh, we love, we worry, we get angry, we sing, we dance, we fidget… in short, emotions run high. And yet, things here are far from simple. Two worlds coexist but struggle to connect: on one side, teachers, sometimes tired or demotivated, lacking resources; on the other, students, often lost, unsure of who to turn to. It’s the arrival of a new visual arts teacher that will turn everything upside down.

After graduating top of her class from the police academy, Iris, 27, is assigned to a precinct in the south of France. Upon arrival, she receives a less-than-warm welcome from a team of colorful and unconventional officers. Her in-depth legal knowledge and insistence on following the rules don’t sit well with everyone — especially Victor, 54, her designated partner, a lone wolf cop known for his old-school methods.

Despite their age and background differences, Iris and Victor are handed a case that seems all but closed. But by combining their strengths, they uncover that the supposed traffic accident was, in fact, a premeditated murder.

As the investigation draws them closer together, Victor soon realizes that Iris isn’t just anyone’s daughter…

Packed with real stories that play on social networking codes, the series plunges viewers into our characters’ daily struggles and adventures, presented from multiple points of view. Six girls (Efi a, Jane, Rose, Lila, Lou, Océane) and six boys (Maxime, Jules, Clément, Lucas, Alex, Youcef), along with their friends and school staff, show us what it’s really like to be a middle schooler in 2020. A first- ever look at kids at a distinct and diffi cult age: between childhood and young adulthood.
