Ringside Studios was founded in 2020 by Gub Neal and Edward Barlow in partnership with STUDIO TF1, with the aim of creating innovative and groundbreaking series for the UK and international markets.
Among its flagship productions are Liaison, an international six-episode thriller starring Eva Green and Vincent Cassel, which premiered on Apple TV+ in February 2023, and My Name is Leon, a 90-minute film starring Malachi Kirby, Monica Dolan, and Olivia Williams. My Name is Leon achieved both critical acclaim and strong audience ratings, attracting nearly 1.5 million viewers during its broadcast on BBC2 in June 2022. The film also won the Best TV Movie award at the C21 International Drama Awards in 2022.
Gub Neal is an Emmy Award-winning producer, known for the internationally acclaimed and BAFTA-nominated series The Fall, starring Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan, as well as the successful French adaptation Insoupçonnable. His other notable works include The Last Enemy, Prime Suspect, Cracker, Queer as Folk, and the Prix Italia-winning Sunday.
Ringside also collaborates with established UK talent through its investment fund, Ringside Media, led by Kate Bennetts. Ringside Media brings together a network of production companies specializing in television, film, and theatre.
