Newen Connect’s distribution teams are keeping global audiences captivated as its content travels far and wide. From highly anticipated upcoming titles like Cat’s Eyes and Liaison on TF1, to the cult thriller The Serial Killer’s Wife, and hit crime series such as Mademoiselle Holmes, Mercato, Panda, and Master Crimes, international buyers are lining up.
Cat’s Eyes Expands Its European Tour
The series Cat’s Eyes, adapted from the iconic manga, continues its pursuit of European broadcasters. Two new pre-sale agreements have been signed even before the show’s French premiere.
Germany’s ZDF and Italy’s Rai join previously announced buyers RTL (Belgium) and RTS (Switzerland), alongside Amazon, which co-produces the series with second-window rights in France and first-window rights in Latin America and Japan.
Directed by Alexandre Laurent (Women at War, The Bonfire of Destiny) and produced by Big Band Story (Benjamin Dupont-Jubien and Mehdi Sabbar) for TF1, Cat’s Eyes was written by Michel Catz, Justine Kim-Gautier, Antonin Martin-Hilbert, Anne-Charlotte Kassab, Coline Dussaud, and Audrey Gagneux, based on the original manga Cat’s Eye by Tsukasa Hōjō (published by Coamix).
Synopsis:
Cat’s Eyes follows the adventures of the Chamade sisters, who become high-stakes cat burglars targeting some of Paris’ most iconic—and secure—landmarks. In present-day Paris, Alexia, Tam, and Sylia reunite after years apart. When a painting once owned by their father—who disappeared in a mysterious fire at his gallery ten years prior—resurfaces at a prestigious Eiffel Tower exhibition, the sisters risk everything to steal it and uncover the truth. But soon, the trio draws the attention of BRB Captain Quentin Chapuis—who is unaware that his prime suspect, Tam, is also the love of his life.
Liaison Coming Soon to TF1
Thanks to a distribution deal brokered by Newen Connect, the thriller Liaison, starring Vincent Cassel and Eva Green, originally launched on Apple TV+ in 2023, will soon premiere on TF1 and be available on TF1+.
Produced by Ringside Studio (Newen Studios) in the UK and Leonis Productions in France, the six-part contemporary thriller follows two agents—and former lovers—who are forced to work together in a post-Brexit Europe to stop a wave of violent cyberattacks threatening the UK, while confronting the buried secrets of their explosive past.
