Newen Studios continues to support and nurture the talents of tomorrow in the audiovisual industry. The company has decided to renew its support for the European Conservatory of Audiovisual Writing (CEEA) by granting scholarships to four screenwriting students. Both Newen Studios and the CEEA share a common vision: to develop French fiction and support its talents.
Founded in 1996 by professionals (broadcasters, institutional figures, etc.) and directed by Patrick Vanetti, the CEEA is the only school in France exclusively dedicated to the training of screenwriters. It works toward the professionalization of fiction writers.
With the collective goal of providing the best possible study conditions, Newen Studios is financially supporting four students during their two years of training.
For Vincent Meslet, General Director of Newen Studios France: “The aim of this partnership is to allow screenwriting students to focus on their studies without worrying about the financial burden of studying in Paris. This initiative aims to encourage and support diversity in French creation.”
For Patrick Vanetti, Director of the CEEA: “With Newen and Vincent Meslet, we are convinced that future fictions will better reflect the reality of our society if a greater diversity of profiles gain access to the profession of screenwriting. However, due to the CEEA’s status as a non-profit organization, its students do not receive scholarships. The renewal of talent therefore depends not only on the support given to the CEEA but also on financial aid provided directly to certain students who, despite their potential and efforts, would not have the means to continue their education or complete their projects.”
